My name is Abi, and I’ve been in the coffee industry for 10 years! I’ve always had the privilege of working with small businesses, which has given me the opportunity to learn not only about the coffee industry itself, but also the behind-the-scenes logistics of running a small business.
Ridge & Roast is the third time I’ve helped a small business open and develop a coffee program, and there’s nothing I love more than helping create a space where people can connect and build community. What has kept me in this industry over the years is the relationships we get to build every day — getting to know our regulars, hosting events, and watching a community grow and change around a shared space.
I’m proud to work alongside Ridge & Roast’s founders and owners, Mark Young and DJ Lung. As I help bring Ridge & Roast from concept to opening, I’m excited to continue growing my knowledge of the industry and contributing to a space that brings people together over great coffee.

Co-founders and owners Mark Young and DJ Lung started Ridge & Roast with a simple idea: create a space where people could pause, connect, and feel at home.
We wanted to bring something to the area that could welcome everyone—from hikers and travelers exploring the Cuyahoga Valley, to business people, parents, students, and neighbors looking for a place to settle in for a while.
The location felt natural: close enough for the local community, while just a short drive from the trails, beauty, and adventure we love about Cuyahoga Valley National Park.
Ridge & Roast was built with people in mind. The person grabbing coffee before a hike, the parent meeting a friend, the student studying between classes, the traveler passing through, or the neighbor who just needs somewhere to sit for a while—we want everyone to have a place here.
Because we believe a coffee shop can be more than somewhere to grab a drink. It can be a place to slow down, make connections, have conversations, get a little work done, or simply exist alongside other people.
In a world that increasingly asks us to take everything to go, we wanted to create a place worth staying for.

ConnectInspired by the valley, we aim to make thoughtful choices every day. Order a Ridge & Roast gift card through December 31 and we’ll send you a coupon for one free drink — any drink we make, your choice, no price limit. The drink goes to you, the purchaser, not the person receiving the card. Their card keeps its full value.
We’ll email your coupon the week our drive-thru opens. Order after we’re open and it arrives in early January. One per customer.

Gift cards may be used toward eligible purchases at Ridge & Roast and have no cash value except where required by applicable law. Gift cards may not be resold, reproduced, or used for fraudulent purposes.
If a gift card is lost, stolen, or used without authorization, Ridge & Roast may be unable to replace the remaining balance. Please treat gift cards like cash.

Conference room bookings are intended for legitimate meetings, gatherings, work, study, or other appropriate uses. Excessive noise, disruptive behavior, damage to property, or activities that interfere with other guests or Ridge & Roast operations are not permitted.
Ridge & Roast reserves the right to end a booking early or refuse future bookings when a customer or group violates these Terms or creates an unsafe or disruptive environment.
Any applicable booking fees, cancellation policies, time limits, capacity restrictions, or other room-specific terms will be disclosed at the time of booking and are incorporated into these Terms.
Because many of our food and beverage products are prepared specifically for an order, refunds or cancellations are not guaranteed once an order has been prepared.
